what does your menu look like? I think it would be nice to get some ideas out there for others who might be putting together a brunch.

As for my Mom's day menu, I'm basing my menu mostly on Food Network's brunch menu. Here's what it looks like:

Grapefruit
Fresh Fruit and mint salad (Food Network)
Orange Glazed Blueberry Scones (Food Network)
Almond Dutch Pancake
Vanilla Dutch Pancake
Bacon Twists (Food Network)
Eggs (any good recipes out there?)
Potatoes
Coffee
Orange Juice
Strawberry Bellini (Food Network)

I am doing

Fresh Fruit and Mint salad, (but with a splash of Cognac)

Egg Strata (Bread soaking in eggs and milk over night and then baked in the over with cheese, maybe some spinach mixed in - there are recipes all over the net)

Tomato Pie - Paula Deen's cookbook

Homemade cheese cake - Grandma's recipe

Coffee - Pomegranate Juice - Champagne

FYI on the Bacon Twists, I made them last week be careful for some reason they drip more fat this way, and that makes them burn faster.

Good grief! How many mom's are coming to your brunches??? I am a firm believer in keeping it simple, and aside from going to brunch, here's what I make:

1. Baked glazed ham
2. Mini Orange Muffins, Croissants, and Cheese Danish
3. Creamy scrambled eggs with chives and cream cheese
4. Potatos Au Gratin with Bacon
5. Fresh fruit with a yogurt dipping sauce
6. Champagne with Orange juice
7. Raspberry Italian Sodas made with Pelligrino
8. Cupcakes and sugar cookies

And, lots of great coffee with cream!

That's all fine and dandy but your going to spend a fortune and a lot of time.
Buy a pre-made fruit salad
Get some fruit danishes
Cook up some Choc. chip pancakes
Make some Bacon and sausage
Put together an Egg,broccoli, and cheese quiche (you can find a recipe anywhere, or buy frozen if you like)
Scrambled eggs with ham and cheese
Breakfast potatoes
Biscuits
Sausage Gravy
Coffee
Juice
Water

Well we are going the potluck route cause it's my day too!
I'm making salmon/avocado Eggs Benedict, Stuffed baked french toast, fruit salad with honey/champagne glaze, and of course mimosas. I'll brew a nice pot of Starbucks coffee. Guests are bringing Confetti casserole, hashbrown casserole, cheddar herbed biscuits with gravy, and fried chicken (mom's special recipe). My sister is making Sangrias cause one kind of alcohol is never enough. And for dessert I made ahead my Creme Brulee cheesecake. I'm hosting at my pad but am definitely looking forward to a nice Sunday brunch with lots of mimosas...
Hope everyone has a great Mother's Day (especially the mom's, heh)!
