Mine teaches that there are two polar opposite personality types: leaders and followers in this world. No one is a pure leader and no one is a pure follower. Most people tend to gravitate toward being a follower. In the absence of something comfortable to follow, the follower will create something to worship, and that is how I view religion and deities. The universe is simply an environment upon which followers have attempted to overlay a rationale for its development by using religion to give a purpose. To a leader the universe is simply an environment in which to perform and leave a legacy.

Assuming what I see is actually reality, humanity is a mass of quarks and electrons, or perhaps more basic underlying objects. There is no "divine" other than the meaning people give it. The universe seems to obey certain set of laws which are not fully known. I don't have enough info on the universe for a deep understanding of it's nature.

The human race is the offspring of God the Father. He sent us to the world to test and try us. If we have faith, are baptized, and endure to the end doing those things that he asks of us we can return to live with him some day and receive all that he has. God the Father through his Son Jesus Christ created the universe for us to have a place to experience mortality. We are the son and daughters of God.

We are God playing that we are not, but as individuals. The whole idea is to experience (through our continuous creation) all the possibilities of life as separate returning (and to unity eventually).
