IF you get paid every other week there are about 3 or 4 months in the year where you will get paid 3 times instead of two.

Yes! Next month will be a five week month for me so I have to wait 5 weeks until pay day because I get paid the last Thursday before the last Saturday of the month! I don't like 5 week months =(

Yes, if you get paid on Friday's there are some months with 5 friday's so that would give you 5 paychecks instead of 4.

Yes, If you get paid weekly there will be 52 paycheck in a year.... If you get paid bi-weekly there are about 2 months in the Calendar Year in which you will receive 3 paychecks.

If you are weekly paid, you get paid each week. i.e. 52 times per year.

If you are Monthly paid (aka 'Salaried Staff') you get paid 'monthly' one twelfth your annual salary per month i.e. in 12 equal payments. Typically you get paid on the same 'day' per month (some pay 'last workingh day', others pay on fixed date eg. 25th - so some months you might have to wait longer between payments than other months)

Some Companies pay an annual Bonus - usually at Christmas (some places pay 2 Bonus, one @ Christmas and one mid year)

Some places it's an extra week's pay, some places and extra months ...

If the Bonus is an extra week, and you are monthly paid, you will get paid for a '5 week month' (actually, one twelfth of your annual salary PLUS one 52nd of your annual salary)

Employees on Commission who get a 'extra week bonus' usually get 1/52nd of that years total to date (i.e. Salary plus Commission).

You may also hear '13 month year' (in Companies paying an extra months bonus)

NB> 'Bonus' === up to the Company to decide to pay or not. So you can't count this is part of your salary, since the Company could stop it at any time ...
