in case you truly insist on reefs then California is your purely option. Florida has reefs yet no mountains. California has coast and mountains 2-4 hours away. Even Northern California has some chilly water reefs. The Monterey section is meant to be truly sturdy for scuba. Nowhere on the California coast snows different than infrequently. no longer lots inland the two until eventually you're certainly interior the mountains. In North Carolina you have mountains and ocean approximately 4 hours aside, yet you will no longer discover lots surfing to speak of, and that i do no longer think of any reefs to dive (yet many shipwrecks). Colorado? No. there's no longer an ocean for better than an afternoon's force.

Depends on if you like snow or sun. I like the warm weather, but I really don't enjoy the beach. I prefer to boat instead. There are plenty of things to do in the warm weather, where as the cold is mostly for skiing ,ice skating, and sledding. Plus I can't stand the thought of having to shovel snow in the winter!!

You'll notice that people living near the mountains are seldom bothered by hurricanes.

I lived in the hills and had a gorgeous complete view of the city. I don't think there's anything like it!. The sea is nice, but i prefer the hills.
