Dont wash your hair every day... don't use products with alcohol in it, condition once a week (unless your hair smells like a dog) and get a great multi vitamin supplement for daily use.
The best way to keep hair shiny and healty is treatments you apply after a wash and conditioning - which you have to leave on your hair for 5 to 30 minutes - that you can do atleast once a month.

Remember your hair is just how your body dicards dead protein cells (steak). So do as little as possible and put mayonaise on it once a week for conditioning with heat.
