Who is Moses?
Moses was prophet of God used mighty by God to bring Israel out of captivity, communicate the commandments to the people of Israel, and lead them through the wilderness. He was the administrator of the Old Testament, were Jesus is the administrator of the New Testament (Heb 8:6 ).

Where can you find him in the Bible?
Interesting enough the first five books of the Bible are written by Moses. How he finished the last chapter of the last book, which mentions his death is a mystery. He is first mentioned in Exodus 2:2, and he receives his name in Exodus 2:10. The entire book of Exodus details Moses life, but you will all find Moses in Numbers and Deuteronomy.

What happened to him?
He was forbidden to enter the promise land, and went up on a mountain and the Lord translated him into heaven. In the book of Jude 1:9 we read that there was a dispute over the body of Moses. We also see that at the Transfiguration Elias and Moses were both present (Mark 9:4). Elias you may remember was taken up into heaven, body and soul in a flaming chariot.

Moses was one of the most important leaders of the Jewish people. His story is told beginning in the second book of the Bible (Exodus) and continuing to the fifth book (Duetronomy)

Moses was born during a time when the Jewish people were in slavery in Egypt. Because the Egyptian king was killing all the Jewish baby boys, his mother hide him in a waterproof basket among the reeds of the Nile. He was found there by the king's daughter, who raised him within the king's court.

However when Moses was about 40, he tried to protect a Jew who was been beaten, and ended up killing the attacker. So he fled into the wilderness of the Sinai Pennisula for the next 40 years hiding.

There he had a meeting with God, where God appeared to him a bush which burned, but was no consumed (It didn't burn up). God sent him back to Egypt to free the Jewish people.

Over the next two years, God through Moses would perform a series of ten miracles (plagues) which would force the king to release the Jewish people. But before they could get out of the country, the king would change his mind and attack them. God did a miracle in which he split up the sea before them so the Jews could cross, but then closed it on the Egyptian army.

Moses would lead the people first to Mt Sinai, where they would make a covenant with God which included the 10 Commandments and other dietary, moral and ritual laws that have been the foundation of the Jewish people for 4000 years.

Moses would led them to the border of the land of Israel where he would die.

Hes the bloke who was put in a basket by his parents, taken in by an Egyptian and brought up as one, until he hit a guard on the head with a rock and ran off where he lived in the wilderness, saw a burning bush (God) who told him to lead the slaves (Jews) out of Egypt and find a new place. Along the way he brought with him 10 plagues ending the the death of the first borns of egypt. When he led them out he parted the red sea so they could cross, went to a mountain where god gave him stone tablets with the 10 commandments on them (the Thou shalt not Kill etc) then the Jews were punished and lived in exile until Moses was seriously old and he led them to their promised land.

You can find it in the old testament, towards the beginning!
