Like who can you marry, how you dress, what kind of sex you can do, what kind of food you can eat, how to wipe your rectum hole, how to pray, what kind of pets you can have, how to fight a war, how to kill your enemies, etc, etc, etc...
Can a such a religion be really from God?

Yes, I find it strange. God has given us the free will to do whatever we would like to do here on earth. We can even ignore Him, deny Him, believe in Him, follow His commandments. But at the end, we will all face Him to receive our sentence. He will settle accounts with us on Judgment Day. Depending on what we did here on earth, He will hand in our sentence whether we will live with Him in His kingdom in Heaven or will suffer in Hell--forever.
Jesus Christ did not impose on us to believe in Him. It is because He granted us the free will. He did not want that we will be like robots or zombies following blindly. He just gave two simple commandments as stated in Mark 12:29-31 (Holy Bible, King James Version): "The Lord our God is one Lord: and thous shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

That is why it is the true religion from God because Islam has a solution for every problem & shows you the right path
Let me give you an example:
Islam forbids the drinking of Alchohol - How many people become addicted to alchohol, how many families are destroyed because of the addiction, How many people loose thier lives because they drinking & driving..................... if you follow the Quran correctly that is just one problem that can be avoided.
Did you know that if you clean yourself in the toilet according to the Islamic way ............ it reduces infections.
Logically Islam explains that certian animals are meant to live in the jungle / the wild (lions , snakes, Bears etc.....) & tamed animals such as dogs , cats etc............... can be pets
Islam forbids eating pork . Why? because by eating pork you can get many diseases because a pig is a filthy animal that eats anything.
The Dress code Islam says women & men should dress modestly - Have you walked around lately women are wearing less clothes , if you go to the beach , their swimming costumes leave nothing for the imagination. its not respectable to display your intimate body parts for public viewing.
Islam says do not commit adultery - Ever heard of Hiv & Aids - if everyone just followed that , we would not be worried about Aids or Hiv.
If you follow the Quranic teachings correctly ........ it explains when fighting a war you should not kill women, children, old people & innocent people & fighting should happen only on the battle field. In war you should not torture any of your war prisoners, if you go against Islamic rule & you hurt & kill people uneccesary you will be punished
The above is logically the best things to do in those situations........ those were jus a few examples. Anyone who reads it can tell you that they would rather follow the teachings in the Quran.

Completely agree with *Summer* above......there is definitely logic in everything that Islam mandates, you just need to think and reflect on it!
Or people just blind themselves from this truth because they don't want to give up the "pleasures" of life....alcohol, scantily-clad women, open sexual relationships....etc etc....
We have been sent to this world to be tested by Allah as to what we deserve (paradise or hell) after death......we need to avoid the forbidden things. Well, then people argue that if these things are forbidden, why did Allah make these things in the first place.....remember, Adam and Eve had a perfect life in the Gardens but that garden also had a "forbidden" tree and then they were punished for their disobedience.

i am amazed at this question from a person named "Ali". Anyways, Islam is the only religion truly from Allah, because, if you follow Islam, not only you get peace of mind but your life gets calm down. Islam is a complete code of life. that is why Islamic societies have cases of rape, sodomization etc lesser than other so called western societies.
It is true that Muslims everywhere are being labeled as terrorists, but believe me, even then respect of elders and parents still prevail in all Islamic nations, no matter how much war affected like Afghanistan, Iraq etc.
Like all other Muslims,I am proud to be a muslim.

I don't find it strange at all because all religions tend to do that but I don't think it is from God. It may come from anywhere else but not for God.

Not really strange at all. Any orthodox religion will teach you that if there is one thing that God favors it is discipline and structure, which includes obeying your hierarchy in the church.
