If no religions had ever existed at all? I don't know, but I would venture a guess that we would have a completely different system of morals and values. Not necessarily bad ones, but what we view as acceptable and unacceptable behavior would certainly change.

There would be a bit more peace in the world if the suicide bombers had nothing to die for but, as a species, some of us would remain greedy and fight over posessions and land and oil etc. I fear it is the human condition. Religion just makes things even worse. If religion was the answer to everything we would have figured it out by now.

Since religious differences have been the cause of more wars and deaths than anything, I say the world might be a more peaceful planet. Some say it would be chaos not to have religion, but even atheists follow basic rules of societal decency.
It's not "fear of god" or "fear of Hell" that keeps a normal, sane person from killing, stealing, raping etc. As socialized mammals, our tendency and innate nature dictates that we try to get along with peace. The occasional psychopath will exist with or without religion.

Without anything to believe in other than themselves, it would be an emptier existance, becuase everyone has a belief in something, even if its not a church, a lot of people these days believe their own views about God and have their own personal sets of values accordingly. Without a faith of any kind there would be no sense of morality or eternal hope. I think most people need to believe in something, even if its the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow we all need something to carry us through life when times get hard.

without christianity and islam..a lot less bloodshed.... lol :) the other religions haven't really degraded people have they?
having a code of ethics to live by doesn't necessarily require belief in something external...belief in YOURself is quite enough!

i think the destruction and wars we 're seeing now is because of no religions,, i mean if anybody follow their religion, the world would be peaceful,, but too bad, humans will remain animals no matter what...

Much better, thank you.
It seems the only reason "Jesus M" does not want to "kill people, to rob, to steal , to have sex with all women like dogs on the street or horses or other animals" is only because he fears his god.

it will be a disaster because there is no system everyone wants to make his decision even if it's wrong alot of crimes will happen because there is no religion who says that we can't kill each other or steal from each other it's like if we live without a purpose
