Anybody heard of a cheese used in a lot of Italian dishes caleed Pecorino? What kind of chees is it?

Pecorino is name of a family of hard italian cheeses made from sheeps milk. The word pecora is derived from its main ingredient, sheep.

Pecarino remano. It's a hard, salty cheese with a rind that is aged sometimes for years. Genuine Pecarino Romano is made in Italy. Very similar to parmesan, in flavor and usage.
