Wow, I wonder what store you were in. First rule of a customer accident is NEVER admit liability and NEVER tell someone that you will "take care of them". The grocery store should get a report done, which will include your name, incident details, witness information, and contact info. You should not have received a copy of this. After the confidential report is done, they usually send you on your way if it is minor, or provide transportation to a medical facility if you wish.
The store should have insurance, and the insurance company is the one that will contact you and follow up in regards to the situation. They will have run your name to see what other insurance claims you have outstanding, and see if the incident should be flagged for fraud. After an internal investigation, the insurance company will decide how much this will cost them to keep you from swinging for the fences. This will not only depend on the incident, but on how demanding you are. Usually, "taking care of the medical" will involve them paying for a portion or all of your expenses. Most accidents are minor in nature, and involve just a lump sum payment to keep you from suing or pursuing the matter further. If your accident was more serious in nature, other arrangements are made for a longer term solution.
Your being taken care of is entirely up to you. Be wary of pushing a bogus claim too far, as the insurance company will eventually tell you have a nice day and stop returning your calls, which means you need a lawyer to continue your pursuit of money. In a legitimate accident though with a reasonable person, the insurance company wants to make sure you are happy. It is all about risk analysis.

The grocery store most likely will have their insurance company pay your medical. They should have given you a cliam number and the name, address, etc. of their insurance company so that your doctor's office can bill them directly. That way your personal medical insurance won't be involved at all. Most likely your insurance company will be sending you a form to fill out explaining the detials of your accident. They usually do this to see if someone else is responsible, such as auto insurance, etc. You might go ahead and call your insurance comapny now and let them know what is going on.
I hope that the grocery store has already given you the info you need to file a claim. If not, call them and get that information NOW.

They mean they will cover your copay and anything else insurance doesn't cover such as travel for treatment. They will also pay if your treatment continues and you no longer have the same insurance because of changing jobs.

Are you an employee, if so they mean workmens comp. So you don't even need to use your insurance. And you shouldn't because their may be caps on your coverage for certain specifics every year. Don't use it if you don't have to Let them pay for everything and you can avoid the hassles of co-pays and getting shafted later.
