I then called him... after all was said, i said i love you expecting him to say i love you too as usual but he said thank you. When i asked him to say it he refused, saying he had said it in the message. Now i dont want to pick up his calls, am i being childish

Very childish! Never ask someone to tell them they love you, it will never be heart felt and you'll only be disappointed. It's what your boyfriend does for you & the emotions he shows you that really matter, not the fact that he won't say three words when you need to hear them.

The phrase 'I love you' is used so casually & carelessly these days that it seems to be losing it's meaning. I feel so sorry for guys that get pestered to say this. It'll only push them away.

If you love him & yourself enough, then this shouldn't be a problem. Just say sorry and get on with your relationship. Why waste time fighting when you could be having fun?

Now go and make up!

perhaps he's just saying that to pull ur leg ???
as long as he does love u , y bother if he fail to say - i love u - for just one single conversation ??
ever heard bout a song call - more than word ??
to shoe he love u is not just carry that 3 words with him all the time , but the way he treats u .
give that poor guy a chance & answer his call :)

I suspect you are being a bit childish and that you are both playing games to an extent.

yes!! if you know he truly loves you, i suppose even when he doesnt said it or text you in words, you will know

and if he doesnt truly love you, even if he always hang those words on his lip, it doesnt value anything

give more, demand less :)
