If you know his social security number, his filing status and the exact amount of his refund you can go to www.irs.gov and find "where's my refund". Enter those 3 things there and you be able to find out the status of it. You could also try 1-800-829-1040 (IRS number), but not sure if they would give you the info over the phone.

You'll have to contact the local child support agency for your area. They are the only ones who can tell you that information. The IRS cannot give you any information about the offset since it's not an offset from your tax return.

If you call H&R they can give you the IRS automated number and I think all you need is the way he filed and his social security number. ex: married, single, married seperated.....
