I don't know, people are just dying to get into Rose Hills. I see couples there, side by side, like they could stay there forever. Pretty romantic to me!

Christy, that was one of the most unhelpful answers ever. You don't say the name of the hotel or the location, but just a couple of tidbits. It could be the Madonna Inn, which is not in LA, but in San Luis Obispo.

OK, down to business. Romance is where you make it. Anything can be romantic, if done right. However, if you want to create a special moment with a view, then the hills or the beach are where you want to start.

Mulholland Drive is beautiful, but might be a bit dicey if you are shooting for a romantic moment. There are lots of kids up there, parking, driving fast, etc. I would hate for one of them to ruin the moment.

Up until 2 days ago, I would have said the Observatory. Excellent views of LA, easy to get to. However, the smell of burnt chaparral is just not romantic.

Up until yesterday, I would have said Catalina is muy romantico. However, it's currently burning, and the smell of burnt vegetation is just not romantic.

Obviousman, you're making me go all squishy.

I would agree that we used to say Griffith Park or Catalina. You may have to wait a while for those two.

I read in the paper that the most romantic restaurant (In the Valley, anyway) is the Inn of the Seventh Ray In Calabasas. never been but I've heard there is outdoor dining with a terrific view.

I can't think of anything that's not on The Man's list. Of course, I don't get out much.

Daytime: The Huntington Library is wonderful
Nighttime: The Griffith Observitory, or under the Hollywood Sign.
and at the Top of Mullholland Drive, either dirt, or paved, and you can take Topanga Canyon from beach and as you crest over into the valley the view is beautiful and i think its romantic.
