my boyfriend and i were together for 8 months and we love eachother very much. it's complicated but we can't be together. we decided not to talk for a month, and we have to respect that decision because both of us are in exams right now and we can't distract eachother.
i want to stay friends, he's so important to me. i'm worried that he just won't care anymore after a month. he'll totally forget me and i'll mean nothing to him. i was the world to him. does that just happen? will i be nothing to him within a few weeks, not even a friend?

since people are asking, we can't be together because he's a commitment phobe and cant handle being in the relationship. he's also got alot of problems right now, family and such. before, when i heard about commitment-phobes i thought it just meant the guy didn't love you, but it really is an issue and from what i've heard from his friends and stuff, he tried harder with me than he ever did with any other person, girlfriend, friend or family, in his life. so i think he gave me his best.

Love can wait. First things first. You have to give priority to whatever is more important and I think that is your exams. After that, you will have the time to reconcile with your boyfriend. If you guys really mean this much to each other than everything will work out and he will still be crazy about you in a month. I can understand being worried about it, but if you've agreed to give each other space for this time period than there's nothing you can do while still honoring the agreement to influence him one way or the other about how he feels. Besides, if he needs to be reminded of you than he's nor worth it in the first place. Try not to worry TOO much about it, even though I know you won't be able to stop worrying completely.

you're distracting yourself over something that might happen or might not happen.
Stop stressing for one thing.
Next, if he 'totally forgets' you after only one month, then it was never meant to be in the first place and you're better off.
If he does well on his exams and you do too and you get back together because you both want it...then it's good...right?
So let tomorrow take care of itself and concentrate on what you need to do now.

Nope not even a friend, you know what? he wont even recognize you! you better go over to his house tomorrow night at 2am, knock on his window and make sure to be wearing something really sexy like i dont know,a nurse outfit with 6 inch platform clear heels and tell him you couldnt wait to see him and then drop to your knees and sing sunny and chers "i got you babe" and then yell out "I LOOOOOOVE YOU!!!" "dont ever leave me or else I'll find you and eat your next girlfriend" ............then jump on top of him and get him in a choke hold and never let go until he stops moving then take him back home.

NO, no thats what you think will happen.. What's gonna happen is that as time passes by, you'll find another guy to like and mean the world to you. But it doesn't mean that u'll gonna for get about this guy rite now... he'll always be part of you as you are part of him.. but its life happens and people go their different ways... so don't worry and study for ur finals...

If the love is real, he will be there. Just send him a note every now and then, to remind him that you care. Just don't expct one back, if he is working hard on his studies.
