Because of the times that we live in - an embassy won't just allow any and all to come within. Even other countries embassy's don't allow Americans to just come within their buildings in the United States. It is a sad sign of the times that we live in.

With all the people out there that think that it is 'ok' to harm others - for whatever cause of the moment that someone may have started - such is more common than not.

My suggestion - make an appointment.

I think you have a misconception about the process to enter the US or any country. It's not going to be easy because so many people want to live here. I feel for you, I'd want to go where there was free opportunity myself, I feel lucky that we have peace and prosperity and despite all of the negatives of the US, it could be a lot worse.
Iranians need to get rid of the fundamentalist jerks, the Ayatollahs and clerics and just get a regular secular government and your people are smart and they can be amazingly prosperous---every Iranian I've known was in engineering, write to a University here in the US and see if there's some help to get a student visa or something. Good luck. We want to be nice to Muslims, but we're afraid they just all want to kill us for nothing.

Everyone wants to come to the US. That's why it's so hard to get in. Those embassy people work hard, but there is only so much they can do. If they didn't require appointments, can you imagine the enormous line that would be there every day?

Here's what you should do: Apply to US universities. If you get in, it will be much easier to get into the US, and the university will be there to help you with the process of getting a visa. Good luck!

Have you considered a student visa? I don't know how easy it is to get one now days, because of the political climate here and with the war....

When I was in college, a few years ago, there were a lot of Iranian students here studying engineering with student visas...Make an appointment with the US embassy and see what the requirements are....best of luck...

I think you're going to have a very tough time with that. Some of them can be downright shameful but i'm sure you know the type. Overly aggresive fearful jerk people. They're everywhere in the world. But it's only some of them. You may have better luck after college. Doctor or teacher is a good way to get into a country.

What do you expect? You can just walk in a US embassy and tell the people their that you want a US Visa?
Wow, wake up dude. Thats not gonna happen.
I know you love USA and so does more than a million of men and women like you.
There are steps to follow to emigrate your country and come here to the USA.
Good luck.
Try to go online and chat with an American woman. Maybe you can marry one and eventually go to the USA.

I agree that you just can't walk into the embassy and get what you want. Make the appointment. But I do thank you for learning a good chunk of the english language and for trying to come legally. Thank you.

Sorry you are having a difficult time. You understand there are things going on not far from you that are troubling and perhaps at another time they would have been more friendly.

Keep trying though and good luck.

We Americans are friendly, but not outside our territory. Sorry about your plight. Good luck.
