I have never heard of the "Uniting" church. Double-check your sources and see if you don't mean the Unity or Unitarian churches. These are two separate denominations, by the way.

Okay, never mind. I've just made a fool of myself. I'm not Australian, and this is an Australian church. I simply hadn't heard of it before. I'm doubly embarrassed because this church is apparently the third largest Christian denomination in Australia. You can get your info here:

They are a liberal protestant church in Australia. The Congregationalists, Methodists and Presbyterians decided they were close enough in beliefs and practices that they could join forces, and a small community that could not afford to support 3 different churches could support one.
