Well I can answer this question you pose, but you must understand that the question derives from somewhere.....this somewhere is a place where one is truly trying to make a connection with what he/she are trying to connect too, in your case the connection you are seeking is that with the source of all life ,
The messaiah said it rather well, and if you have beleived on him you are certain that he and the father are one. We as his followers know that his spirit and that of his father are one and the same, for it is out of the holy spirit from which Mary concieved and bore him and he said: I am the way the truth and the [life] and no man comes to the father but by me.
Now....the reason you feel insecure about your question is because you don't know but the good thing here is that you are inquiring to know.
What are his commandments for, his commandments are given for that very reason so that you will know G-d's desire for you and his desire is that you may be secure in your faith.
I will give you those commandments study them and enternalize them into your very being and you shall walk blameless before the L-rd.
1-You shall not commit adultery
2-You shall not committ Idolitry
3-You shall not steal
4-You shall not blasfeme the Name Of G-d
5-You shall not eat the limb of an animal while it's life still remains in him.
6-You shall not murder
7-Establish courts and governments to reinforce these laws.
Why these 7 and not 10 because anything given at Mt. Sanai was for the children of Israel.
Prior to the giving of the laws at Mt. Sanai everyone had to follow these 7 laws.
These laws were given to Noah and his children to follow for [all] generations. If you'd like more information please email me so that I may explain in depth the laws that I mentioned and why and where to find them.

If you read the story of Job, it shows that the devil is challenging God and saying that God made a mistake by creating humans, yet further back in Genesis, Satan damaged humans to imperfection and death by tempting Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. And it also says in the Old Testament, and forgive me but i can't remember where, that God gave humans the gift of knowing right from wrong-or your conscience in other words. So the battle is always going on, as soon as you see something good, Satan and his demons find a way to pervert it, and sometimes even after that, God finds a way to bring things back into the light. For example, gay rights. On the one hand, people who support gay rights are more Christ- like in accepting all people, while conservatives have really made the Bible's teachings of homosexuality into a thing of hatred and condemnation. on the other hand, accepting and promoting homosexuality is ushering people to commit acts that are offensive to God, and yet how do you explain the growing scientific trend that states that some people are born gay? The right thing is to stick with Bible principals, and to keep in mind God's law, but also to imitate Christ by guiding people according to God's law with love. And, to be aware that there are always demons who will inspire you to start down the wrong path tirelessly.

When you approach someone with the gospel you can tell very quickly. If the Holy Spirit has been calling that person, they will be willing to listen and probably even have some questions. If they reject everything you say, then you know at once they are not ready or willing to receive the Word. Then do as Jesus instructed, "shake the dust off your feet" and go on your way.

Always discern everything with the perfect Word of God. Then, do not allow satan to give you doubt and fear as the Word of God says that God does not give us the spirit of fear. Pray for understanding and guidance. Have faith that The Holy Spirit will give you this. Share truth (the Word of God) as we christians are comissioned to do and trust that The Lord is doing His work in you. You plant the seed, and leave the watering up to God. The seed of doubt is planted by satan. Use the Armor of God (His Word) to battle the enemy. You will know as you pray and The Holy Spirit guides you. In Christ's love

Just remember we are seed sowers. In Isaiah 55:11 the Prophet writes, concerning the LORD; So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
In Matthew 13:3-19 Jesus says; And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
The Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:6-9; I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
Its a burden heart for the lost that makes one feel this way.
But theres two purpose for the spreading of the gospel.
In Matthew 24:14 Jesus says; And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
To some it is shared for Salvation. But to others it is shared as a witness against them.
Other words; Everyone will have an oppuritunity to hear and received the gospel.
Here's a couple songs I would like to share with you.

There are at least two things that will protect you against Satan, truth and love. If you are speaking and living the truth and following Christ's example of selfless love in the things you do you will have nothing to worry about. Going to Church on Sundays and (if possible) receiving the Eucharist will also keep you on the right track.

There's a scripture somewhere in the Bible that says..."Ye shall know them by their fruits." Meaning, if something you do produces a good fruit or outcome, then it is of God...if not it is of Satan. Satan never inspires others to believe in Christ.

If you have specific questions please feel free to email me.
In general, we are called to be like the Bereans. That is, to take a presentation and then compare it to what scripture teaches us. If it is of God, take it, if not, discard it.
Also study the Gospels again, especially Matthew chapter 5. Oh and the book of I John will help as well. We will be known by our love for one another and by the "fruits" in our lives. Study your heart, compare your fruits to the fruits of the spirit, and you will know if you are doing God's will or the others.
