If this is pure arithmatic, then the answer is 1.
If you consider 1 on the upper side (1+delta, delta is nearly zero but not zero) (reaching 1 from 2 progressively) then this will be positive infinity.
If you are reaching 1 from zero side so that you see 1 from lower side (that is 1 = 1-delta where delta is smaller than the smallest positive decimal number) then this will be zero.
The above two are methods of calculus.
We may say that this function is discontinuous at 1.
