Rockstar...your answer didn't make any sense at all. It kinda sounds like you are the one who is flustered.

Yeah, that's something new and not everyone knows about it yet. I also heard that 'homosexual' is now a "race" too.

That's the problem. Americans are turning the illegal immigration debate into hatred toward mexicans and are saying things about mexicans that are stereotypical, biased, and racist. If you assume that all illegals are mexicans, then you are being racist and stereotypical against that race. I've read posts about how mexicans have too many babies and that's why there are so many here, mexicans all listen to rap music, and drive 100 dollar cars with 2000 dollar systems, and much more. That is all stereotypical and isn't true about all mexican people...and it isn't true that all illegals are mexican either.

The "illegals" such as the Mexicans who come to America illegally are a race, by virtue of their nationality. It isn't a matter of being racist, it is a matter of being legal, and coming to America in an approved, and legal manner. I seriously doubt that anyone that has not a problem with immigrants from any other country who come here by legal means has a problem with a Mexican who wants to immigrate, legally. It is those who want to come illegally that they have a problem with, and I agree with them in that regard. It is easy to use the race card for those who want to cover the legal aspects of a situation. The truth is, however, there is a legal way, and an illegal way. It isn't being "racist" to want people to do things in the legal manner. I have heard others that I know of to advance one idea to put an end to the illegal immigrants, put a bounty on them. While I think that is extreme, it would be a way to put an end to the problem.

Because they aren't in America Legally, our immigration policies aren't that bad, but Green Cards were invented for a reason, im NOT racist i just believe if your going to be in another country, do so legally. Most Americans are mad because illegal immigrants don't have to pay taxes like regular citizens, but recieve the same benefits Americans do, it's like having a cake and eating it to. Some people are racist, and some people are like me, just believe in the legality citizenship and see it wrong to capitalize on a country without giving back (taxes)

It isn't racism, it is xenophobia. People who claim it is racism are possibly lacking in the knowledge that there is an actual term to describe the idea.

Maybe the claims of racism come from the belief that many people consider all hispanic immigrants, even those who come here legally, to be second class citizens. Even if it isn't true of the majority, those beliefs are projected onto white Americans as a whole.

Another possibilty as to why it could be deemed "racism" is if the individual believes that if these immigrants were of European descent that there would be much less hostility towards them.

I am not saying I agree with the above; these are just theoretical explanations.

They are not a single race. Rather they are many races,
where as the people who live in this country which they are trying to enter are the race of that country.

They are not illegal because of their individual races,
rather its because they have committed an Illegal action.
That is entering a country by the wrong path. (not invite)

A bit like a guy who does not wait to be invited into your home. Instead he enters your home by climbing in a window.
His visit to your home is illegal as he does not live there and he is not a guest.

No, "illegals" is not a race. It is a word used to describe those that do an particular 'illegal' act.

Such can be from any race. They break known laws and do not expect to have any punishment for such and resent any talk of the laws being enforced.

good question, because most illegals are not the same race as you and not liking them for not affecting your life directly is not a good reason to not like anyone

Because the intolerant people who are lobbying for illegal immigration assume that all illegal immigrants are the same race.

Race isn't just about biology....It also is defined as humans considered as a group....Mexican's are a GROUP.....Illegals are a group.....If you call a Mexican a beaner or w e t b a c k, to me that is a racial slur....If you call someone a cracker, that is a racial slur....Don't cloud the issue....There are racists on both sides of this issue, I read here everyday....
