Yup, He did.
Now, is that really the lame excuse you're going to use to reject God?
Aren't there worst things you can image than death?
Do you really care about women and children who lived thousands of years ago?
Or maybe you just want an excuse not to believe so that you can set your own rules and chase after all your desires.

Yes this because the old testament was in its day the books the judaic prinicpals were based off of. From the day of Jesus and forward the bible is based on a new idea of compassion spiritual growth, and tolerance. Although many christians arguee this, They are basically two serperate schools of thought conjoined into one book. which is why modern christianity is so bizarre and confusing.

there continues to be conjecture as to if or not the OT could additionally be an element of the Christian canon. I for one think of that if Christians want to cite Jewish regulation from the previous testomony then they'd desire to embody the guidelines thoroughly. they'd desire to consume Kosher meals and stay by ability of each and every of the guidelines in that e book. you are able to’t %. and choose which rules of God you want to persist with and which different ones are “Out dated” . It’s an all or not something project. in the event that they want to hold up signs and indicators protesting something and use OT expenses to returned up their claims, then they'd desire to cease and ask themselves in the event that they are extremely doing their faith Justice. Jesus isn't the God of the previous testomony. There isn’t even any definitive info Jesus is God in any respect. he's the word of God, a messenger, an incredible Prophet and the savior sent to loose us from the shackles of unique sin. Jesus is the son of God… yet God himself? I don’t have self assurance so. Monolatry is Trinitarian faith. I certainly have yet to in my opinion see reality in a triune God.

Indeed, God demanded the erradication of many peoples who were in abject rebellion to Him. His chosen people in the old covenant was national Israel. In the historical plan of redemption, God was merciful to allow any who repent and believe to be born again. That God does not destroy every single vile, sinful human but chooses to save some is the ultimate love and amazing grace that only a sovereign, holy, and righteous Savior could show.

>> after he told them thou shall not kill..
There is no contradiction. Exodus 20:13("Thou shall not kill") prohibits man from killing for his own reasons, emphasis on the "Thou". If however God commands that someone die by the hand of man, that is a different situation because it is God who is initiating the killing, not man.

I highly doubt it!
GOD is pure unconditional love. I truely believe that is why he sent Christ to us. He needed testemants of truths.
Also; "Thou shalt not kill"
Pretty clear to me.
