I use to be a pharmacy tech and calling the police probably will not do anything for you but what you can do is first if that pharmacist is not the pharmacy manager than you should talk to the pharmacy manager which will be another pharmacist. If that one is than you can find out how to get a hold of the Bord of pharmacies and I'm sure they can help you. If all else fails then go to another pharmacy.

It is NOT ILLEGAL. Actually, pharmacists have the " right to conscientiously refuse to pass objectionable medications across the counter"
What they legally must do in that case is provide an instant transfer to another pharmacy that will fulfill the prescription.

What you could do, is call the pharmacy manager, store owner ,etc, and complain. They will usually come in and take care of the matter. Only one pharmacist has been fired, and that was because he refused to transfer the prescription.

It's not illegal for a pharmacist to deny filling a prescription for any reason. It is the pharmacist, not your doctor, who makes the final decision on whether or not you get a prescription medication. The pharmacist is the final link in the chain.

I am not sure if the police would do anything.. Most cops don't care about issues such as this. Something should definitely be done, though. If the government won't do anything about it, then try notifying your local media. (You could file a lawsuit against the pharmacist, but how the case turns out would all depend on what judge gets assigned to your case.)

not the police, a lawyer or find out from another pharmacist who you report him to, they are listened so you can have that taken away, like a doctor, its the medical board, so there must be a pharmacist board or something like that but the police will do nothing

Their job is to fill the prescription not to do anything else.I'm not sure what the police would do, but some thing should be done. But at the very least you should try and find a better pharmacy.

I had the same problem before. If it's against the law in your state, then you should report it--but not to the police.
