I will answer by a hint:

What is happening in Bethlehem this year?

The following facts were reported:

- In 1967, there were 5 mosques, in 2004 there were 84

- In 1950, Christians were 75% of the population, they are now 12%

- The average age of the Moslem population is 16, that of the Christians - 36

- In the 2005 municipal elections, Hamas won 12 out of 15 seats

- According to Palestinian Authority law, the mayor of Bethlehem must be Christian. His faction has one member only on the council.

Without Jesus sacrifice on the cross, you would still be dead in your sin spiritually speaking.

When you accept Jesus into your heart as Lord and Saviour of your life. The "life" that you thought you had which actually leads to condemnation has now been turned into eternal life. You now have abundant life. You are the child of most high God.

No longer is your sin upon your name, you are forgiven and what's more like you never sinned ever. You have a perfect slate. No longer does death have dominion over you spiritually. Physical death, where is your sting?

Now, God didn't say, "I'm going to make this physical life easy for you." It may be extremely tough, but He'll be with you always!

You may suffer great trials and tribulations physically speaking. However, keep your eyes fixed on the everlasting.

The verse in question is John 10:10. Jesus is referring to both eternal life, as well as the meaning of life. You will never really know what it means to live, until you know Jesus. And it's not just any life, it's life in abundance, all you will ever need.

The Lord Jesus Christ came that you might have eternal life and live with Him and God forever. But also in having the fullness of life, God wants you to live to your full potential here in the earth. Most Christians make the mistake of thinking I will start living my life when I get to heaven when God wants you to live in the abundance of life here in the earth, so you can do His kingdom work. Look at some of the examples, David, Solomon, Jehoshaphat, Uzziah, Hezekiah just to name a few. God wants you to be prosperous and successful in this life also. That's biblical.

This is something Jesus said. He is referring to the fact that he came to the earth as a man (even though he was the son of God) so that he could suffer and die for the sins of all mankind. That way, whoever would believe in him and ask for forgiveness would have life in all its fullness---aka, eternal life in heaven. =)

I believe the interpretation is that Christ was pointing to true life, i.e. eternal life. Life is not a full belly, a comfortable couch and a nice car. Life is salvation in Christ, eternal forgiveness of sins and redemption from sin. Christ was saying that He didn't come to provide material wealth, but eternal wealth.

In the King James bible it is translated that Jesus said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." We were dead in trespasses and sin. Jesus came to give us new life and eternal life.
