35 grams of fibre a day is recommended. Most people get about 1/2 this. Its actually quite easy to get the recommended amount of fibre. Have a high fibre breakfast with 10 grams of fibre in a serve, use oat milk on your cereal (a few more grams). Eat a few serves of vegetables and fruits (another 15-20 grams of fibre), start taking psylllium powder or flaxseed meal (another 5grams per serve) plus a couple of slices of wholemeal/wholegrain/hifibre bread and thats another 10 grams of fibre.
Getting enough fibre is essential to prevent cancer, digestive problems, high cholesterol, toxin buildup, fatty liver, constipation, weight gain and a sluggish metabolism. Just remember not to take fibre supplements (powder or tablet form) at the same time as pharmaceutical medications, other vitamins or calcium.
