how does a man of my age 53 find a real girlfriend?

I'm a regular guy, i like ladys, but I can't seem to find a girlfriend
in my age group. what am I doing wrong? I don't drink, no drugs, I work full time, I'm in good health, I'm not fat and fairly good looking I've been told. Why can't I find a real girlfriend?

An uncle of mine recently remarried in his late 50s after meeting his new wife online at eharmony.com. That may seem corny or beneath you, but I've heard of a lot of success stories, since it's all about interests and compatibility nowadays through online dating services. If you haven't already checked out that avenue, you might want to give it a shot.

Either that or do what I did to meet my wife: I throroughly enjoy baseball and have season tickets to the Texas Rangers. I'd been severely burned in a long-term relationship and had cooled my heels for about 6 months before finally hitting the dating world again. I dated a few girls with no fire in the relationship, then decided to try and meet a girl at a Rangers game, since I figured if I could find someone who shared the same love of baseball as me, that there'd probably be more shared interests as well. Found my wife of 9 years on the 2nd try...
