that might work but it's not guaranteed.
i, personally, don't agree that one must suffer to lose weight but one must realize that whatever adjustments you make, your body will take approximately a year to adjust and adapt to.
one needs to learn what a healthy diet is or get to know somebody who's prime concern is nutrition. i work as a volunteer at an outlet where they feed both vegetarians and carnivores, so my menu is pretty satisfying, to me.
as for work outs. this field is not trivial. it is a very serious business. safety first! once that is realized, one may find the enjoyment in the activity. it is my conclusion that work-outs net a better product when combined with another activity such as swimming or martial arts. these activities, in tandem with work-outs tend to afford your body more flex. people who get serious about these activities, devote their life-time to them.

Absolutely not!! It is great that a person has an active lifestyle by working out, however if you have poor nutrition you may still be at risk for other diseases and or conditions. For example, if you have a high cholesterol / high fat diet these will lead to heart disease. If you skip meals, or only eat one big meal per day you could be at risk of developing diabetes.
In addition, if you have a diet that is high in sodium (most fast food & restaurant foods) this may cause high blood pressure.

take a look around in any gym anywhere in the world. if you came back to that same gym 5 years later 90% of the people would still look almost exactly the same because of the diets that they follow. exercise only provides the stimulus to the muscles, the diet ultimately determines the shape of the body.
you could have the best architect in the world design a house for you but if you used substandard building materials what would you end up with? same exact principle applies to physical fitness, you are what you eat.

Technically it is possible to keep the same weight if you burn off whatever you eat, but the problem lies in the health risks. Just because you exercise and burn off whatever you eat, doesn't mean you're healthy. You could still develop issues for the future (blood pressure, cholesterol, heart problems, etc).

Definitely not. Think about that.... If you ate McDonald's every day but worked out... chances are the working out would do nothing lol. To be healthy you need to make healthy choices when eating AND work out...

to be thin MAYBE (probabl not) but to be healthy you need to feed your body a balanced diet with lots of fruits a vegetables. and also work out to keep yourself healthy.

you will gain if your daily calorie intake is higher than calories you have spent.
