Sweetie yes!! I just had my 4 wisdom teeth removed this past Monday plus one of my molars. I'm still trying to recover. I've heard many different stories of recoveries and it's true that everyone's different. One of my friends had only 2 of her teeth pulled and she was out of work for 2 whole weeks because it was so bad for her. I'm barely starting to feel a bit better but I'm still not able to eat anything and still a bit swollen. And I still have to take my pain meds in order for me to be comfortable. It may take a week or so before we start to feel better. I wouldn't worry though. Oral surgery isn't something that is so easy to recover from. If you're really concerned just call your surgeon and ask to be seen. I'm sure you're okay though and hopefully you'll feel a bit better knowing that we're in the same boat. You're not alone!!

Yes, if your tooth was near the nerves that run down your jaw, it will hurt longer and stronger. I had a two removed from each side, one was not close to the nerve, one was closer. I had to use vicodin for the one near the nerve.
The skill of the dentist also matters too. If the wound suffered a lot of trauma, naturally it will take longer to heal and it will hurt more and longer.
If you suspect something else, please seek professional help.
Good luck.

You bet! If you weren't in pain, I'd be concerned LOL! I had 2 on one side removed and it took a long time to completely heal. It hurt like a biatch for a long time. After a while it becomes ok.

That depends a lot on whether you are gradually getting better or worse. As long you are improving you're probably ok. If not, you need to call the doc.

Yes. If the pain gets worse, you might have what is called dry sockets. Check with your doc if you are feeling worse
