When I think of a God I imagine something that has animal qualities, and if one researches such qualities they know they are because of weaknesses. It just seems more plausible that the universe does not require an animal like creator that displays animal like emotions, survival instincts, etc.

Everything.
I mean that. Nearly everything in the world practically screams the fact that no god exists.

I will say it once - i will say it again - there has to be something bigger. Most say - show me proof that he exists. I say show me proof that he doesn't.

Have any of you done Physics 101? First law of thermodynamics? Energy can never be created or destroyed. And according to E=MC^2 then matter can never be created or destroyed. Something cannot be created from nothing. Thus the only way to understand this is a leap of faith.

Also - the human consciousness indicates design. Why in the world would atoms have consciousness?

The fact that nobody -- ever -- has found the slightest evidence to suggest that there is one. This is not proof, but it is a step to prove that any belief in a god is totally useless.

has anything "miraculous"that COULDN'T happen without the help of divine power happened? all those sort of things have happened as described in the bible....what evidence is there to think that everything the bible is describing is true? nothing.

if you like to believe in it merely because the bible ITSELF says it's true, that's your decision...unfortunately i find it hard to be so unquestioning... :)

nothing so very unusual has happened in my life....what exactly can you say that points TOWARDS the existence of God? all these day to day things aren't soo unusual are they?

and as for "you're here, isn't that proof enough"argument, how can anyone be SO SURE that we're here today because some God CREATED us? because the bible says so....there you go,it all leads to the bible in the end,and frankly i see no reason to believe the bible .
