Locke won't die. Does anybody remember his ability to heal on the island?
In the prior episode his dad bit him and he was bleeding pretty bad, the next day his hand was fully healed.
Also he went from cripple to able after the crash and Ben acknowledges that he has a gift.
Hes not going anywhere.

I really doubt it -- he's too key to the plot and too popular a character. I think the one's that are going to die are the ones that came "on-board" later, and the key characters, including Locke, will live on.
So The Others are truly mass murderers. Indeed, there were shades of the holocaust (gas, mass graves). Somehow I wasn't expecting that.
