I have a 7 month old golden and she is full of energy. Any time I have guests
over she will run up to them and jump/scratch them, even if they turn away and
tell her "no" she will just keep on wagging her body and tail and continue to do
it. She's house trained and she knows how to sit, lay down, shake, roll over,
up, and fetch but that's when we're alone. Once someone new comes in the picture, she
doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm there. Its worse when we're on walks because she'll literally
drag me, jump and just yank until she gets her way or we are far enough from
the person or dog. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I am also not afraid to dicipline her, and I watch dog whisperer constantly. I take her out, play with her and keep her active constantly as well to maybe get some of that energy out but when I'm in public it's hard to stop her from charging at ppl because i don't want to give ppl the impression that I am to harsh on her.

Ok, I know exactly what you are going through and most important I know how to fix it. I have 5 HUSKIES big dogs and powerful....they are snow dogs and sled dogs after all. Well what you do is get either a leash on them or a harness or a lead. I myself have used the harness but I heard leads are good to. Well, you start by putting on the harness and the leash on it and go out in your yard to practice. If he starts to pull you pull harder and kind of yank him. He will stop maybe not immediately he will keep fighting you but you have to show him who's boss keep pulling and yell something like "hey" or down. Keep yanking until he or she stops and kind of waits for you. Everytime do that even if it means always having a harness and leash on her when shes out or around people. BELIEVE ME sooner or later she will start to listen. Try to teach her how to sit and stay to and you do this the ssame way but for sit you just get like a treat and tell her to sit have the treat in one hand and with the other push her bottom down until she sits. The treat has to be something she really enjoys like a sausage or hot dog. Keep going until she listens. THEY DO LISTEN AFTER REPETITION. This works if you are commited and do it and it does not take that long either....I THINK MY DOGS LEARNED IN ABOUT 3 DAYS TO SIT and about 1-2 weeks to not pull and walk beside you to your left. I breed dogs and let me tell you, you have to keep them in check and show them who's boss otherwise they just walk all over you. Don't let them do that.

keep kibble in your pocket when you go out to keep her attention on you. as for in the house when you have guests put her on a short leash and do not let anyone give he attention until she is sitting when she does that tell her good girl or boy and give treat and attention it will take time do not back down

OK, so you taught your dog to do TRICKS, now you need to teach him OBEDIENCE. If you've never done it before, then I STRONGLY advise you to enroll in an obedience class. They will help you turn your overly enthusiastic dog into a model citizen!

Good luck.
