God has never suggested that Christians be a doormat to anyone. In fact, he gave permission to his followers to defend themselves against conquerors or others who were trying to harm them. Turning the other cheek simply means that you do not give what you get for the sake of vengeance.

The turn the other cheek verse does not mean that Christians have to go quitly into the night, and just let everybody roll over us. The trouble with the modern church now is that it is letting people roll all over us. The bible says that certain things are wrong, and we as Christians are not supposed to just let the few take over. 81% of all Americans claim some form of Christianity, yet pornography is the number one selling industry in America. 81% Yet every minute in america 3 babies are murdered through abortion. 81% yet homosexuality is becoming more and more an accepted alternative lifestyle, rather than the abomination that God called it. We have to love the sinner, but I absolutly hate the sin. I myself came out of drugs, alchol, sexual addiction, and prison. I was a non believer, but now that has changed. Read about the true patriots of America, the founding fathers. This country was founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ, and is now solely based on the concept of a dollar. So no I would not go quitely. I wish we had more men of backbone that would stand up for what they believe, and not let people push them around, and threaten them with lawsuits or whatever. Be unafraid. I have Jesus, and He is enough for me. We need more people who will...
