Divine widsom, Huh?
Why does your God intervene on sunday at the church, but does not intervene to appease the pain of an ill child?
Go ahead and search your crazy bible for answers. I challenge you to come up with one convincing answer.
Until then, I will only venerate the doctor.
And please don't throw at me the "original sin" gospel, because this gospel in particular, contradicts the just and fair nature of your God.

Brian D, do you realise how superficial you are to dare compare the pain of a child, to a girlfriend dumping you.

God and "the Devil" are one in the same. If God has 1/millionith of the power people give him credit for than why is there such thing as the "opposing force"?
The world is brutal that's reality, but the world has also always been paradise too. It's all about the eye of the beholder.

I read a comment from Billy Grahams daughter on this subject that puts it pretty well. She states that we tell God to stay out of our lives and forbid prayer of any kind, we aren't allowed to discipline our children and teach them to do right. Tell God he's not welcome to intervene in our affairs or not welcome to interfere in the doings of mankind. And when God honors our requests and doesn't interfere and we don't like the way things are then we cry why would God let this happen. He is honoring our requests as people with free will.
That's the jist of it any way.
As for my belief. Mankind is killing itself, with war, chemicals, disregard for each other, An attitude of entitlement on most peoples part and the idea that we are owed something.

You start out calling Him brutal, but end up calling Him just and fair.
Are you sure you're not drawing close to Him and are just kicking, screaming, and cursing the whole way?
This is exactly the kind of rant I used to babble over twenty years ago. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Later.

The just and fair nature of my God is that He is not brutal to you. Man's rebellion and selfishness has brought on the pain in the world.
Haven't you noticed that the Christians who Jesus has told to be his hands and feet are at work? God works through Christians. We are helping ill children and orphans. What are you doing to help them? Peace.

We all have lessons to learn, even children, these pains won't last forever and pain is a real thing, I'm glad to have felt some cause it made me smarter, pain has awakened my inner voice. The more pain you get to feel on Earth will increase the amount of pleasure you can feel in Heaven,...it's all about opposites my friend, opposites.

This question reminds me a lot of a this one time when i bumped into this guy in the mall when I was younger.
Me: "What's wrong"
Him: "I hate God."
Me: "What? Why"
Him: "Because my girlfriend left me for a guy with a car and God won't give me a car".
Bad things happen. The Bible never says that it wouldn't. Get over it.

Please. I'm a recovering Catholic. I have alot of issues with the horrible things that happen to babies, children, women and men...and animals, too. I'm not so sure how one person is wired to do awful things, and another is not. I also don't think I blame God, and I don't think God wanted it that way. To confusing. Sorry...I hope you get a reasonable answer.

sadly for many they have never been loved with pure love
they confuse eros ,god has the pure love
note the xchild stops crying by unseen hand
in time we create our own pain , its memory seems so real ,
such is devine wisdom that pain has a level , we allways sek to lower ourswelves to feel it
its not normal
try to rate pain
now 10 times more pain
all pain belongs to god who feels every pain ever felt
that you did to the least you did to god

I guess God didn't take the Hippocratic oath.
But I know what you mean, I felt the same way when I was a little girl going through surgery. "If God exists, why doesn't he care" sort of thing. I never have found an answer to that.
