CF8M is a cast austenitic material for pressure containing parts as per ASTM A351 specification. Its chemical composition is % Carbon- 0.08max, %Mn-1.5max, % S &P- 0.04max, %Si-1.5max, %Ni-9.0 to 12.0, %Cr-18.0 to 21.0, % Mo-2.0 to 3.0. Its physical properties are - UTS=485MPa, YS=205MPa and Elongation= 30%.

That's 316 stainless steel. It has about 18% chrome and 9% nickel alloyed with iron.

It seems to be a cast version of 316 stainless steel, based on an internet search. It seems to be used in valves and similar fittings.
