I have two questions is: who has the fever? How high is the fever?

If it's a child : undress the child place him in the bath tube with cold water but not too cold and call the pediatrician office ( they should have a night nurse ) or go to the ER ( especially if fever is above 105F). No blanket, light clothing.

if it's an adult: you always want to have a fever from an unknown origin investigated. Do you know what is causing the fever? Cold? flu?

The best natural way ( for an adult) I know to reduce a fever is to take frequent cold showers and dress lightly.
My husband best natural way is to exercise when he has a fever, he is saying that sweating help him.

I have found taking a bath does help. I would take a warm or hot bath. It also helps relax you.
