bought a new computer, has windows vista home premium instaled, had ME before, used disk keeper lite for windows, worked great, haveing a hard time finding the right defrag to use, i don't like the one windows has, never have . trying perfect disk, it shows whats going on, not sure if thats the best one out there, if anyone out there can give me some answers, i'd love to here from you. thanks.

Curious as to why you don't like Windows' defrag. I've been using it for some years now and don't have a problem with it.

I'd reccomend smart defrag from iobit.com. It's freeware and works in Vista. It does a far more in depth defrag than windows can. Windows defrags are generally not that thorough.

Go here and check out Auslogic Disk Defrag. It is an excellent tool and its free.

I use Vcom Systemsuite5 which is very good, there is a newer version available now Systemsuite7 which looks even better, and not very expensive. Gives you lots of tools and tweakers, and the chance to undo any changes made by it if it doesn't suit you
