Not a chance. Locke is the focus of the show in many ways. As the storyline is shifting and we are seeing a more mystical side of the show, it illustrates the importance of Locke since he is a man of faith. Locke has healing powers and a special relationship with the island...he will be saved. Remember - Alex, Ben's daughter, gave Locke the gun to protect himself. Perhaps Alex will save Locke. I think John Locke is way too important to the show to kill him off. Plus, we always see the people die in front of our eyes, not off camera. They didn't show Locke die...he lives!!!

There is no way they will kill Locke off...
He and the island have a thing...remember how fast his wounds heal? If the island can mend his broken back, the island can mend a bullet wound to the gut.
Ben shot him because he is jealous - John is a threat to his power!

I didn't get to read the whole article, but I did see that 5 people are going to die before the season finally. I don't think Locke will be one of them, but who knows, they might surprise us.
