there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating out every once in a while!!!! but everyday????? i have many friends that eat out everyday just because they are so lazy to cook at home. they then go to the doctor and the doctor tells them they have a health problem because of their diets. then they wonder why they have health issues!!! hmmmm. not only is it very expensive to eat out everyday, its also very unhealthy. if you dont know how to cook, thats no excuse to eat out everyday. there are healthy cooking cookbooks out there! follow the recipes! it is better in the long run if we cook more because our health is on the line.

I agree 100%. I love to eat out as it's always nice to eat some delicious food that can not be prepared in the home.

but to answer your question, people are lazy. i'm not quite sure when cooking food became such a hassle. personally I love to cook and find it to be just another way to challenge myself.

I prefer to cook organic foods at home when possible. I totally agree with you. Since I quit MSG, high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils, I find it almost impossible to eat out at all and when I do, I stick to salads with oil & vinegar. (Safest choice, still some places spray chemicals on the lettuce like McDs). No fast food for me. And guess what, I have no high blood pressure, no diabetes and I am not overweight. I feel great and my body thanks me every day!

Unfortunately for most of the working men and women, many are forced to ingest these unhealthy choices and they shouldn't have to. I think it's wrong that they are poisoning the food the way the are. Maybe if enough people get wise to these poisons, they will stop buying it and companies will be forced to feed us a better food!

I don't agree that cooking at home is usually healthier than eating out or that eating out is easier. Most of the cooking done at home is probably frozen, canned or dried foods. There are also a great many convenience foods prepared in supermarkets then microwaved or oven heated at home. Even sauces for such things as curry, pepper sauce, gravy etc are usually from packets rather than actually cooked from base ingredients at home.

Few people when cooking at home will prepare a side salad or garnish. Many will not prepare vegetables although if they have paid for a restaurant meal which includes a salad and veggies they will probably eat them. The sauces in restaurants are also more likely to have been prepared in-house.

Regarding ease, at home you can cook the average meal in less than 30 minutes, eat it and do the dishes altogether not much over an hour. It will usually take at least the hour to drive to a restaurant, order and wait for the food but you still then have to spend longer eating it and getting home. You don't need to look smart to eat at home either.

Is it possible that you are a bit jealous of people who can afford to eat out a lot?

Home cooked because the only thing fast about fast food is the speed at which it speeds you toward the grave. Rent or by the DVD "Food Inc" or "King corn" there are a bunch of movies. Better still go to work for one of those places. Look into the food preparation before it gets to the fast food restaurant.

yeah i also have friends who go out to eat like every night. i think its so unhealthy.. we have no idea what they put in the food or how much oil and whatnot. at home is yummier, personally, and plus if you're cooking the food you'll know whats a good amount and you can read the nutrition facts for everything.

yeah i agree.
eating out is fine, once in a while
but with fast food, theres so much calories and grease, that its disqusting to think about
but tell them there are meals you can make at home that dont take that long, even if its something simple, like a sub sandwhich and an apple or something. it tastes good, and you only have to throw some things together!
