You enter in a job title, like engineer, or architect, and they provide you with information about the job, job variations, working conditions, educational requirements, median salary, links to other resources, and hiring trends.

not too bad.

Don't get too hung up at this young age at thinking about what "career" you want to have. The pace of change is so fast now that it's hard to predict what "careers" will be like in 10, 20 or 30 years. Come away from school with these abilities: the ability to think critically, the ability to see a problem and an opportunity in a situation and have a good idea about how to solve them, the ability to write clearly, the ability to present a reasoned argument both in writing and verbally. Don't make the mistake of thinking that knowing how to "use" PowerPoint means you know how to analyze a problem and present a solution. Don't make the mistake of thinking that because you know how to make a pivot table in Excel that you have presented a good solution. Use your first few years to take a variety of classes to see what you are really excited and passionate about, but always be looking for how to be a good critical thinker in that area. Push yourself hard in school (and don't use Yahoo to get all the answers to your homework because once you're working in the RW, you can't just get a Yahoo answer when you're faced with a complex situation that needs an immediate answer) to do more. Look for good summer internships that expose you to lots of different people and challenges. Have fun.
