Best thing is not to scratch. You might take an allergy remedy to help with the itching and swelling.
There is a mild poison, but it usually won't have any lasting health effects.
Use an insect repellent such as "Off" to keep them away next time.

Time will make them go away. To stop the irritation I suggest getting an anti inflamitory and rubbing it on the skin. Cortizone will work, or if you are not allergic to asprin crush the pill and make a past and put it on the bug bite.
There is no poison in your legs.
Mosiquitos carry malarya ( I do not know how to spell it) but it is not present in the US.
There is nothing wrong with your blood.
Next time where bug spray when you go out!

Don't worry I get heaps of mozzie bites. Don't scratch or have really hot showers as this stimulates the histamine in the bites and makes them more itchy. To stop the itching put calamine lotion on the bites or diluted tea tree oil. (2-3 drops in a cup of water) The tea tree oil is an anti-bacterial and will help stop any infection caused form you scratching.

I think those questions are questions best answered by you or your doctor.
Next time use OFF! (deet is sometimes optional)
Also, if you start experiencing odd symptoms you believe to be associated with the bites, you may have West Nile Virus.
At that point you should either go through the ER or regular phyisican.

You are going to be miserable for awhile...and there's always the chance of contracting West Nile Virus. Might want to ask your doc about that.
