I am about to buy 07 Navigator 4X4 Ultimate this month.

1. I will bring it to South Korea!! I am not a dealer or to sell it to someone. Do I have to pay sale's tax eventhough I do not drive the car?

2. I found two prices from Yahoo. One is MSRP$50,655 & the other is Invoice price$46,699 . it's about $4000 different.!!

Which one is real? All I want is a truth!

Seattle, I am thinking to fly, but better places to buy 07 Naviagator?

U.S dealers can only sell a brand new vehicle to be titled in the U.S.

If you are planning to transport the vehicle out of the country, you will first have to have the title to the vehicle in your possession. That means you have to title & register it in the U.S. which also means you will have to pay the sales tax for the state and county for which the vehicle is registered.
Getting the title from your resident state normally takes weeks.
The MSRP means the "Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price" The individual dealer can negotiate ANY price above or below the MSRP,
The invoice price is the amount that the dealer pays for the vehicle. Dealers are not "non-profit" organizations. Therefor it is up to you & the dealer to negotiate a price that is fair & agreeable to both parties.

I hope you weren't planning on doing this ALL in a week or so........getting a U.S. vehicle to South Korea is going to be a WHOLE other bunch of red tape.

Good Luck !

invoice is what the dealer pays for it.. unless youve been buying new cars from that dealer every two years for the last 40 years, youre not going to get it for that price.
$4000 above invoice for a luxury car is about right.
If you dont plate the car, then you dont need to pay the sales tax. But the minute you register it, youll have to pay for it.
