i have a big verb test tomorrow, and i am failing that class right now, so naturally, I AM STRESSED!!

can anyone remind me of how you know when to use the 'conditionnel' and 'imperatif' and 'imparfait' verbs? and what are the endings?

gosh, i'm so bad right now, all i can remember is present, futur, and subjunctif!

just any verb help you have on ANY of the tenses would be SO helpful!!

impératif is when you give an order:
only 3 pers.(tu) mange ta soupe!(note that you don't put "s" with "tu" at impératif for verbs that end with"-er"
(nous) mangeons!
(vous) mangez!
you don't put the pronouns either

conditionnel when a sentence begins with "si"(if)
si j'avais un marteau, je frapperai le jour.. first part is imparfait and second part is conditionnel(I would)verbs end:
rais
rais
rait
rions
riez
raient don't mix with future tense(ai,as,a,ons,ez,ont)

imparfait(was,were)
to tell sthg has happened:verbs end that way:
je ais
tu ais
il,elle,on ait
nous ions
vous iez
ils,elles aient

u use the imparfait when u talk about the past, but it refers to an action that took long to do, or a habit (Quand j'etais petit je travaillais pour mon pere), or when u were doing something and you got interrupted( Quand il regardait la tele, le telephoné a soné).
to form the imparfait it: the root of the nous...for example nous aimons...aim- + -ais,-ais,-ait,-ions,-iez,-aient.

u use the conditionnel to express: a dream(Je voudrais aller a Paris), some action that your not sure if it took place, a suggestion, you use it to be polite. and also you can make and hypothesis.

to form the conditionnel you use the root of the futur + the same ending as the imparfait.

if u need some more help theres a very helpful site..check it out if u have time (http://www.laits.utexas.edu/tex/gr/tap5.html)
good luck!

Martox45 gave you the correct form of the verbs.

"Conditionnel" is used same as the conditional in English
"Imperatif" is an order
"Imparfait" is the Present continuous in English

I make you an example with the verb 'manger" - to eat -

as you know mostly of the French verbs have irregular forms and it's impossible to quote you how they are ending in the different tenses since it may change from one verb to another.

PRESENT CONDITIONEL
je mangerais
tu mangerais
il, elle mangerait
nous mangerions
vous mangeriez
ils,elles mangeraient

PASSE' CONDITIONEL
j' aurais mangé
tu aurais mangé
il, elle aurait mangé
nous aurions mangé
vous auriez mangé
ils, elles auraient mangé

IMPERATIF
(tu) mange
(nous) mangeons
(vous) mangez

IMPARFAIT
je mangeais
tu mangeais
il,elle mangeait
nous mangions
vous mangiez
ils,elles mangeaient
