exfoliate the area a few days before shaving to stop ingrown hairs usually helps. Because the hair is curly it tends to grow different to the hairs on your legs, causing the bumps after shaving because the hair is growing in odd directions. You can use any gentle exfoliator, preferably not a harsh one. Even the same one you use on your face. Just don't do it more than once every 3 days. Shaving will always give you bumps, waxing is heaps better and lasts longer. It isn't that painful to get done once every four weeks at the salon, I usually pay about $18 a session (thats aussie dollars) There is a product you can get from most shops (eg priceline) for ingrown hairs that helps. I can't remember the name of it though. Its about $6 a bottle that last for ages. After shaving use some moisturiser on there or "after shave" cream. Try and find a cream with anti-inflammatory ingredients like lavender.

Try waxing your bikini line or getting your hair removed through laser therapy. If you must shave, make sure not to go over the same spot more than twice as this will irritate the skin. Also, go with the grain of your hair, and moisturize the area.

You need to start waxing. Much better results then shaving.
