I'm assuming you checked all the fuses? make sure that your power wire fuse is compatible with the amplifier fuse. The reason i say this cause i recently had a problem with my amp and come to find out my power wire fuse was only 30amps but my amplifier was pulling 40 amps.

This usually means you have a blown speaker, shorted speaker wire, or mis-wired speakers.

It may also be a sign of a very poor ground connection.

Do you have too little resistance for a load?

In other words, if the amp can only handle 4 ohms and you put 2 ohms on it, this is one thing that will cause your problem.

attempt re-wiring the full amp, extremely unplug and plug each and every little thing returned in, speaker wires, RCA's, grounds, battery gauge, distant twine, get rid of all of it. Then plug it returned in.

I am thinking ground on this one,

Make sure your ground is free of paint/rust and it is a secure connection to the body on the car, also it need to have a resistance of less than .2 ohms

Good Luck
