Ok, hold out you hand. Now make a flower grow from your palm. No if we don't have the power to create things spontanously and were the highest beings than were did everything come from?

Are you serious? You "ID" shows a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and you ask a question like that?

None of us has power to create from nothing...only God can do that.

The human mind is not capable of understanding the mysteries of the universe. We can only submit our theories. First, it is difficult given our finite mindset, to realize there is no beginning and no end. Everything is rythmic and cyclical, an expansion or contraction, example being our breathing. Look at the seasons, come spring and summer, then autumn, the time of death, and winter when we rest or sleep. then it happens over and over, every year, every decade, every century, every millenium. Our planet and solar systems are expanding until the point is reached when they will contract. In the midst of all this, there is definite order and rythim. It is impossible to understand infinity, where there is no beginning and no ending. Our small blip of consciousness upon the screen of infinity seems so insignificant. So, we must try to understand the small little world in which we exist briefly. Whereas we don't and cannot understand the grand plan, we can only have faith. Faith is the substance of all things hoped for; faith is the evidence of things not seen. Humankind has nothing to offer but a dead end, however having faith in God is believing in life and spirit, never ending.

OK lets use your logic.
Where did god come from?
Is it easier for you to believe that god always was or that the matter in the universe always was?
Did you know that right now we have the power to make bacterial machines.
So whats so hard about making life?
Just because you can't explain how we got here, doesn't mean you have to create a volcano god!!
You do know why I said volcano god don't you?
Because people once believe in them too... why do you think that is?
Because maybe they couldn't explain it?
So ask yourself , why do you believe in any god?
If the best you can come up with is "hold out you hand. Now make a flower grow from your palm"
lol

An explanation based on logic is never going to answer that question -- at least you'll never get to the root of it. People can say evolution, but can you make a flower evolve from your palm? No. So where is evolution?

Same goes for the question about the beginnings of the creator. I know it's not exploring new territory by any stretch to say "where did God come from?". It'd be awesome to know that stuff, but whoever knows the answer isn't sharing it. Besides... I like the mystery.

SOME ADVISE FOR ANSWERING: If you don't have a thoughtful answer, just pretend to by replying with "lame argument" or "proves nothing -- you pulled a theory out of your @$$". I won't mention names.

Evolution

Just because I can not spontaneously make a flower grow in the palm of my hand today doesn't mean I couldn't evolve to be able to do so in 100 thousand years..

Although your logic is poor, statistically speaking there MUST be beings more advanced than we are somewhere in the universe.

Oh - and you have more power than you think you do. Spontaneous flower growth defies the laws of nature, which no one can do - but you ARE creating your life, moment by moment, and will continue to do so until you die.

That's stretching it a little, isn't it?

I mean really...if I can't make a flower grow from my hand why in the world would I believe in some all powerful being?

We are simply not the highest beings. You left God out of the picture. We and the universe were created by Him. It says in the Bible first chapter of Genesis. " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

This is the crocoduck argument.

"Set up a straw man of what evolution claims and then knock it down."

*applause* Actually your example wasn't as bad as Kirks.
