I guess he will be in a Ginn racing team car as they are chevy cars and he be the star on that team. Ginn has a lot of money and is moving forward very quickly in the NASCAR world. I expect that either marlin or nemechek is out for next year. Whether Bud comes with that deal will not matter, They have currently 3 cars and can field 1 more by rules. I heard VISA is also out there as a sponsor, so look for that to be the team he drives for.

Whatever team Dale Jr. decides to drive for or whether he decides to go out on his own I am behind him all the way. There are Pro's and Cons on both sides of the argument. If he goes with his own team there is a debate on whether he can handle the stress of running a race team business and being a driver at the same time. Personally I think he could. On the other hand there are those that would love to see him go with RCR (Richard Childress Racing) and drive the #3 car.
Either way you can bet it's a done deal that the fans are with him all the way. Budweiser is sure to follow him as a sponsor and it is rumored that Truex will as well. It is being widely reported that he also has a 24% interest in the overall Nascar Retail sales which is a multi million dollar a year industry.
One article on Yahoo Sports News that I read earlier today stated that Therea Earnhart had just made the most collosal business mistake of all time. Her decision to allow Jr. to walk from DEI was paramount to Nike letting Tiger Woods walk which would NEVER happen. In denying Jr. controlling interest in DEI she now owns 100% of NOTHING.
It goes to show you she's a lousy poker player. She called Jr's bluff only he wasn't bluffing. Nice move Jr. !!

I would like to say R.C.R. But I've got a feeling Ginn racing will be Jr's. choice!! Giving the vaste recources that team has and the $$$ for R.andD. This is the logical choice. But as everyone know's Dale Jr's. a free spirit so anyone's guess is as good as the other. Hope this helps. Have a great day!!{:-P

Whatever team he drives for in 2008. He has only just announced OFFICIAL that he is leaving DEI today and the Answers' board is filled with Dale Jr. future teams speculation. LET IT PLAY OUT!!! He will go with whatever company he thinks can help him win the Championship and if he has to start his own company, so be it. I would love to know which team it is but why speculate, get hopes high and then be pissed off when it doesn't happen when I can sit back and let it work itself out. He will be picked up with an established team though. I mean, who wouldn't want all the money in the world right now, when it has become an money-driven world.

Oh, I think he'll end up with Gibbs Racing, but I also just read on nascar.com that Mr. Gibbs is a very Christian man who may not want a liquor company (ie: Budweiser) as a sponsor. So maybe Junior would terminate his relationship with Bud to go with Gibbs.
Or, maybe he'll roll with RCR, and keep Bud on. I don't see him driving the 3, though. Maybe in some kind of super-special race as a tribute someday, but not as his regular number, and not right away. Junior's already stated he's not entirely comfortable with that.
He wants to drive Chevys, but I don't see him with Hendrick (too many teams already, and his fans would freak to see him be on the same team as Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon), or a second-tier team like Morgan-McLure or Ginn Racing. Junior also doesn't want to turn JR Motorsports into a Cup team yet, either, so that rules out driving for himself.
I think it'll be Gibbs. Guess we'll find out later!

I would love to see him on the RCR team. However, I'm not too keen on him driving the black 3 car. If he's comfortable with it, then it's cool. His perogative.
If he doesn't end up with RCR, I would like to see him in a *GASP* Hendrick-powered machine. Jr. needs good equipment if he's going to be even competitive.
Shoot, right now even Rousch and Penske look good even though they'd cost him the big Chevy endorsement.
Either way, it's ultimately up to Jr. and I wish him all the best in 2008 and beyond.

Could be JR Motorsports as Bud will go with him and there's enough strong money in that one sponsor alone. People will realize that he is being a gentleman about the business controversy with the "black widow" and blood will tell. Sister is a good manager, she's going to pick up more women fans, Junior is just beginning to find his stride and I expect more checkered flags in his future because of his skills and his ethics.

Casey Mears has run out of excuses why he does so poorly. I can see Mears getting the boot (they will get out of the contract that runs through 2009) to make room for Dale Jr. at Hendrick Motorsports.

I believe he will go to another team and I hope he will be happy at wherever he goes. I would like for him to go to Richard Childress's Racing like his father did when he was Jr.'s age.
