What's better tanned or pale skin?

What looks better on Caucasians: tanned skin or pale skin? Let's assume it's a safe fake tan.

Nicole Kidman looks beautiful with pale skin and so does Gwen Stefani.
Depends on the person, usually a tan livens up your feautures though. But there are some pale skinned beauties. I think you have to be really beautiful and striking to pull off pale though.

It really depends. Some people can pull off the pale look. I personally like pale skin, with really dark hair. Tan skin also looks good on a lot of people. I guess tan works for more different types of people, while pale, like I said, can be pulled off by some people.

It depends on who you are. Some people look beautiful with pale or translucent skin, and others look great with tanned skin. People who are naturally pale who try to get really tan just look weird. Half the girls at my school are orange and disgusting looking...and it's really not very attractive. Personally, i think whatever someones natural skin tone is what looks best.

I think a persons natural skin tone looks the best!! There are many gorgeos women that are pale and tan, but the people that avoid the sun too much look too pale and the people who tan too much look like leather and very fake...so I think a natural tones with a touch of sun....

I don't like the look of pale people , they look sickly , at least get like a mild tan , healthy glow.

tan...a nice healthy looking tan....it makes it look like they are enjoying the world and not hiding.
