they have learned that serious talks are going on between Jr and RCR and a deal could be announced as early as tomorrow and that if a deal does go thru that his number would be 33 because he's not ready to drive the #3.

I think RCR would be a great choice for Jr. His dad was very successful with them. There is already a common bond between Childress and the Earnhardt name. I believe Jr could feel at home there and could even have more of a chance to show his full potential

Let the guy drive whatever number he wants to drive. Bad enough he had to leave his dads company, now you guys are demanding if he signs with RCR, that he drive a black 3 budweiser car. Why not make it blue, since Sr once drove a blue 3 when Wrangler was the main sponsor? If he wants to drive the 3, fine drive it, paint it red and drive the thing. Not like he will be driving a car his dad drove in or anything.

If you watched the news conference today, Jr said that he would have to do a lot of soul searching to drive the 3, and that if and when he's ready to drive the 3 then he will.

I don't think anybody can be ready to drive the # 3 and 33 is good enough i just want him to go to a team that is committed to giving him good equipment to race and Earnhardt+Childress= championships wouldn't it be great if Jr was to bring the championship back to childress it would be the first 1 since Sr died. If its true they better start printing shirts because Daytona 2008 is going to be a must see race. Earnhardt in a childress car at daytona first time since his father died that is going to bring many tears to many fans eyes especially if he wins.

I don't think that anyone not even Jr. should drive the 3 car. Much like when other sports retire a number the # should never be used again.

good for jr even driving a 33 car the crap they would make would make ppl rich but only if the car is black budweiser wont mind if the car is blk
