She was touting anthroposophic (botanical or plant) medicine. In her situation, it involved daily injections of Iscador (mistletoe extract) that she administered herself into the abdomen.

However, she still didn't take any chances because she also did some of the traditional route: lumpectomy and radiation therapy. She just didn't do the chemotherapy.
