Are you trying to say that Atheist secretly believe in God? Some may, I assume, but those that have really thought about it and have some sort of education shouldn't believe without a doubt. I do. I have no doubt that 'God' doesn't exist. Now a supernatural being possibly may exist. This universe has things in it that I can't comprehend, and I'm no idiot. However, in time humans may be develop the brains to understand. Until t hen I leave it open. That is why I call myself an agnostic atheist. I don't believe in the theistic Gods, but I don't deny any type of supernatural being.

If you're judging from the reactions on Yahoo Answers' R&S section, I think this is a bad place to look. The internet in general is filled with forums where people have "itchy trigger fingers". It's not just religion or politics that cause it. Check out the music forums, where people make death threats over which Beatles album was "the best". It gets stupid really fast.

Aside from that, if atheists seem "angry", it's because they're a minority, and minorities get defensive, especially when cornered. This goes for religion and politics in general. As for why some start rhetorical question posts in order to troll, well again, that's the internet for you.

No ..... but if every other day you were given that "look" and every other day you were cursed to "be going to hell" because you do not believe in a fictitious character ..... chances are you will be ticked off too.

Moreover, I had heard christians said things like this "This place we stay is only temporary, why should we bother to be environmental friendly? God will provide us with a perfect world".... what do you think of that?

I'm not bothered that other people choose to believe in a bloodthirsty Sky Fairy. I just wish they'd mind their own spiritual business and quit trying to force him on everyone else. Notice that Jews, Wiccans, Hindus, atheists, etc. DON'T make a nuisance of themselves, like so many Christians do.

I don't mind someone else's religion. What concerns me is the unconditional truth some groups of people see in ancient mythology books, and want to oppress their truth upon others, and lie and cheat to get as far in peoples minds as possible. This could mean great harm to the world, especially when there are different groups that believe in different books, and want everybody else to believe their book or interpretation and start fighting with each other over their lies.

I'm not an atheist, but like them, I get annoyed at arrogant, smug people who (1) claim to have all the answers but offer no proof, (2) openly wish some form of eternal suffering on anyone who is not a member of their club, and (3) give themselves permission to interfere in everyone else's business.

As was noted before i noticed this question, yes atheists can and do get really annoyed because "believers" don't have the same respect for others beliefs as atheists do (some of them, anyway....).

I'm ticked off, because the beliefs that many others have in a complete fairy tale, influences the laws I have to live by.

It's as simple as that, really.

If those other Gods were used to try and justify the evil crap in the world that the bible God is then YES I WOULD!

The problem isn't the God that doesn't exist but the idiots that think it does and are willing to kill you to prove it!
