I'm serious... do people (who believe in god that is) really think that god is a 'he,' with like male parts and everything?
And if so, (for all you Christians) couldn't Jesus then just be the result of a drunken weekend fling with Mary?

God, I believe, has no gender because God is not a being. I believe that the God people pray to is rather a transcendental power, the ultimate goal of humanity. More of a state of existence. The Buddhists call it Nirvana, the state of Enlightenment. That is the God people should strive for, and try to achieve. After thinking about it, it is more easier to believe in a State of Existence than an all powerful being in the sky. Their is no evidence to support that God is gender-ful.

God is imagined as a male for several reasons, but most people do not envision Him as an actual male.
Please remember that "He" and "Him" indicate both male, and nonspecific gender.
And Jesus is more significant as a teacher and a forgiver of sins, not as any kind of "heir" to God.

God is all that is, was and will ever be. He is refered to as a He because biblically speaking males are of higher status, and heads of the household. Therefore we refer to God as the He that he is.

I tend to attribute divinity with a feminine essence, but any gender or other humanification is not a necessity for me.
