Okay so I just got my nails done for the first time ever and I'm about to go on vacation. I am staying in a hotel tomarrow night. Well in the past everytime I've gone swimming in a pool the chlorine takes off most of my nail polish. Well I'm afraid the chlorine will strip off what I just got done. Is there anything I can do to protect them?? What are nail caps?

nope you should be good - if you got acrylic tips, they hold polish really really well - much longer than natural nails. If you're really worried, take along a bottle of clear polish and swipe it on every day or so to keep your nails looking good.

Try applying a thin coat of Vaseline or plain Chapstick to your nails to seal out water. Re-apply it often while you're swimming.

I've never heard that one before. Perhaps a clear coat and washing your hands well could possibly help.
